The Animal Emergency Referral Center is looking for veterinarians, interns, technicians (RVT preferred) and receptionists wanting to join our multi-disciplinary referral hospital. We have specialists boarded in Emergency/Critical Care, Internal Medicine and Radiology.
For qualified candidates we offer a residency training program in
Emergency/Critical Care.
Torrance is located in Southern California in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. Our practice is situated half-way between Los Angeles and Orange County and bounded on the west by the beautiful Pacific Ocean. We are less than 3 hours from two major ski resorts and about 2 hours from the Mexican border.

Animal Emergency Referral Center is not only an exceptional animal hospital—it’s also a teaching facility for residents training in emergency and critical care. Our experienced team of doctors and support staff are leaders in the future of critical care and referral medicine in the South Bay. AERC provides weekly rounds for local veterinarians with our specialists in Internal Medicine, Radiology
participating. Our staff provides an on-going lecture series to the veterinary
community on both the veterinarian and technician levels.
